Where I've been & what I've done

I'm a digital communications strategist & video producer with a knack for integrating media across multiple digital platforms for niche industries including healthcare, policy, and finance. I serve as a jack-of-all-trades digital media guru -- from helping anesthesiologists learn how to use Twitter to promote their research to redeveloping newsletter content to lower unsubscribe rates -- I'm at my best when I'm keeping an eye on it all.

2015 - Present

I am in charge of the constant development and evolution of the Department of Anesthesiology's digital media presence. HSS anesthesiologists are premiere educators and practitioners of regional anesthesiology for orthopedics. 

  • Develops & evolves Dept. of Anesthesiology's website for patients and providers which resulted in a 59K page view increase from July 2015 to July 2016
  • Produces patient education content (video, graphics, and blog posts) which have garnered more than 20K views in 2015-2016
  • Collaborates with central communications, public relations, and social media teams to highlight noteworthy anesthesia research and news and promote unity among individual practitioners on branded networks
  • Leads eCirriculum microsite project through each stage of development

2014 - 2015

I managed day-to-day digital operations and online communications for the country’s top-ranked nurse practitioner and physician assistant medical publication, The Clinical Advisor. I led Haymarket Medical's overall online video strategy, producing videos across several medical specialties.

  • Curated, crafted, and delivered daily news emails to 150,000+ healthcare professionals
  • Managed and grew stable of freelance writers, copy editors, and professional contributors that contributed to a shift in editorial voice and coverage resulting in an increase in engagement
  • Reported live from 8 national conferences for endocrinologists, primary care providers, psychiatrists, and advanced practice nurses
  • Produced 40+ videos across multiple medical specialties such as pain management, neurology, endocrinology, and psychiatry, which improved Haymarket Medical's online strategy and profile
  • Finetuned social media approach by integrating graphics, images, and data visualizations which improved social media interaction and audience

Multimedia Coordinator then Multimedia Producer

2011 - 2014

I was promoted to the Multimedia Producer role due largely in part to the successes on launching Brookings' livestream channel. As the Multimedia Producer, I worked on individual and group video projects that helped promote and explain key features of Brookings' research. As the multimedia coordinator, I was responsible for scheduling and producing original video content and event video support, ensuring more consistent coverage and faster turn-around for 50+ centers and 500+ events each year.

  • -Developed and produced creative enhancements for Brookings' policy research which resulted in an increase in video views and page views back to brookings.edu
  • Filmed and edited large-scale video projects that contributed to an overall increase in impressions and page views
  • Managed webcasting program with Information Technology Services by creating the strategy, reporting, and staffing crucial to increasing outreach engagement and average audience
  • Supervised multimedia team workflow which increased the breadth of content while decreasing freelance budget
  • Served as ITS liaison for Central Communications which involved collaborating on multimedia communications in Doha, Beijing, and New Delhi offices
